Can you use PVA to Prime concrete floor?

How thick can you go with self leveling concrete?

The screed coat should be around 2” / 5 cm thick, but you can adjust it to your needs (it should always be thicker than 1” – 2.5 cm). If you find it too expensive to use self-leveling screed, then you will have to make a semi-dry mix of 1 parts cement with 3 part sharp sand (grade A).

  • Clear off your basement floor. When using a concrete grinder,it’s important that the floor is completely free of any obstacles or debris.
  • Put on safety goggles and a respirator before you start.
  • Spray your basement floor with a hose if you want to wet grind the concrete.
