Some of the most-used operations on strings are to check their length , to build and concatenate them using the + and += string operators, checking for the existence or location of substrings with the indexOf() method, or extracting substrings with the substring() method.
How is string useful?
Strings are like sentences. They are formed by a list of characters, which is really an “array of characters”. Strings are very useful when communicating information from the program to the user of the program. They are less useful when storing information for the computer to use.
